Cocoa Beach Restaurants

There are plenty of great places to eat in the Cocoa Beach area. One of the best areas to find restaurants is in Port Canaveral. Here's pictures and a list of great places in the port itself:

Milliken's Reef Restaurant - my wife said it's great!

There's Rusty's Seafood and Oyster Bar.

Baja Tavern and Eats

Fishlips is also a favorite of my wife's!

And of course, Ron Jon's has their very own restaurant - Ron Jon Surf Grill, at their Caribe Resort.

The Seafood Atlantic Fish Market.

Everyone looked nicely dressed and happy at Grill's Seafood Deck and Tiki Bar.

Our most recent dining experience in Cocoa Beach itself was at the Pig & Whistle:

The Food was very good! A little sign maintenance was going on while we were there...

Appetizer was the sausage roll - awesome!

I had the shepherd's pie - very good!

The fish and chips - huge!

My wife liked everything except the "mashed peas." I thought they almost tasted like mashed potatoes, but she wouldn't even try them!

The Pig & Whistle is a very unique name, and its origin was explained on their menu:

“The Pig & Whistle has had a place in British history ever since daily rum rations were issued to all men aboard Royal Navy ships in 1655. As the story goes, it was the job of the junior midshipman to go below to draw the rum for the ship’s company from barrels – called “pigs.” One day the junior officer arrived on deck drunk with the rum for the duty officer of the day. The next day the officer ordered the midshipman to keep whistling until he returned on deck with the rum, this way he wouldn’t be able to drink while carrying on his task. Therefore, the name “Pig & Whistle.” If you happen to visit England, you will find many fine pubs and taverns around the British coast and sea ports called the “Pig & Whistle.”

On my Cocoa Beach page is a picture of us eating at Yen Yen's Chinese restaurant. The food there was very good, but beware! It was "New York" style Chinese, not the traditional breaded and deep fried Chinese food.

We love to go to local restaurants whenever we visit a new town. Cocoa Beach is not a huge city, but they have a good selection of restaurants. There are quite a few on the A1A strip, some on the river side of town and of course, quite a few at Port Canaveral!
